Ryanair flights in Bilbao
The Irish lowcost airline Ryanair announced on 4 August this month that will operate at the airport in Bilbao. The news caught by surprise even Jon Gangoiti, director of Bilbao Air. And is that Ryanair in most cities where it operates is due to subsidies from local authorities. Ryanair will operate, in principle, from October at the airport of the Dove (Loiu) and currently only plans to do national tours. This opens the door for cheaper options to visit several capitals of the peninsula, and vice versa.
Ryanair is also one of the airlines but fame has in the European aviation industry and has not won much sympathy for his way to get to Bilbao.
