Ryanair flights in Bilbao
The Irish lowcost airline Ryanair announced on 4 August this month that will operate at the airport in Bilbao. The news caught by surprise even Jon Gangoiti, director of Bilbao Air. And is that Ryanair in most cities where it operates is due to subsidies from local authorities. In the case of Bilbao, it seems that these subsidies come from the Basque Government and Iñaki Arriola team.
Ryanair will operate, in principle, from October at the airport of the Dove (Loiu) and currently only plans to do national tours. This opens the door for cheaper options to visit several capitals of the peninsula, and vice versa.
Ryanair is also one of the airlines but fame has in the European aviation industry and has not won much sympathy for the way they reach Bilbao. Whether you want to install at the airport in Bilbao thanks to subsidies, while other airlines have done so because they have opted for Bilbao and its capacity as tourist city, it does not look with favor from the beginning. October will have to wait and see if eventually only make domestic flights or decide to open the way to Europe and the confidence that the people to fly with Ryanair to Bilbao Bilbao.
