Tent for submitting San Mames Barria
A May 26 was held the ceremony of laying the first stone of the new San Mames Barria, expected to premiere in the season 2012-2013.
At the ceremony were present the highest of representatives from the 5 members of the Society of St. Mamés Barria: Lehendakari of the Basque Government, Patxi Lopez, the deputy general of Biscay, Jose Luis Bilbao, the Mayor of Bilbao, Iñaki Azkuna, the president of the Bilbao Bizkaia Kutxa, Mario Fernandez, and the president of the Athletic Club, Fernando Garcia Macua.

A human chain formed by players from the quarry, Athletic players (both male and female), partners, supporters and club members, was responsible for keeping a piece of grass and a stone wall outside of San Mames to the lot where be located the new San Mames Barria.
Grass, stone and other presents to San Mames Barria
Jose Angel Iribar and Iker Muniain were responsible for starting the chain, with grass and stone, respectively. Managers were Federico Urieta finish and Eneko Vivanco, the oldest member and the youngest just 4 months.
